This Kashkul begging bowl is crafted of a half Seychelles coconut, which is also called coco de mer. The shell has a natural, oval shape. The upper area shows a jagged carving. On the side an oval, blue inlay of glass is visible. The begging bowl is equipped with eyelets and chains. Originally, the Kashkul was used by Sandhus, Sufis and other monks to carry food donations.
